Vivapark Porto Belo's first street race takes place on Saturday, April 11, in the evening. The Night Run closed registration with 1,300 participants running distances of 4 and 8 km, plus kids' races from 50 to 400 meters. The children start at 18; the main race at 19.
The route runs through neighborhood streets and Parque Viva Equilíbrio, recently delivered in the expansion, with lighting and sound design along the course.
Why a Race Matters for a Neighborhood
Because 1,300 people running at night on public streets is the test a planned neighborhood needs to pass. Lighting, safety, sidewalks, signage, restrooms, parking. A gated community doesn't do this; an open neighborhood does.
Jéssica Volaco, partner and commercial and marketing director at Vokkan, told Visor Notícias that "there's a real demand for experiences that combine sports and quality use of urban space."
