Vokkan wins Italian award for Vivapark Porto Belo landscaping
Parque Viva Energia won the City'scape Award 2026 in Milan. What was recognized and the neighborhood's full list of awards.
The Parque Viva Energia park, inside Vivapark Porto Belo, just gave Vokkan first place in Italy. The project won the City'scape Award 2026 in the "S4 – Water, Sport & Leisure" category, and the ceremony was held at Triennale Milano, in Milan.
It's not the park neighborhood's first award. But it's the first one that recognizes, from abroad, the part that people who live here see every day: the greenery.
What won
The Viva Energia landscaping bears the signature of Licuri Estúdio. It's one of the park neighborhood's parks, designed to bring together water, sport and leisure in the same space, in the middle of the blocks of houses and buildings. Vivapark has over 230 thousand m² of green areas, and nature was the starting point of the project, as Vokkan's president, Roderjan Volaco, summed it up to Diarinho: "Nature has always been at the conceptual center of the park neighborhood."
Cauê Martins, partner and director of Licuri Estúdio, described the idea as "creating a living landscape, where nature, city, leisure and education come together."
The neighborhood's collection of awards
City'scape joins a list that's already long for a park neighborhood that started selling in 2020:
- LEED for Communities Platinum, in 2022 — the first in the world at this level in the community planning and design category.
- ACD Awards 2023, in Urban Design.
- DNA Paris Design Awards 2023, in Large-Scale Project.
- Master Real Estate Award 2025 for Urban Development.
- Building Vértice: International Property Awards 2023, Best Mixed-Use Project in the Americas.
- VITTA 27: OPAL Awards 2026, Mixed-Use category.
Why this matters for buyers
The award doesn't pay a down payment. But it tells a story that the price list doesn't: the project that was sold on paper is being built exactly as designed, and people from outside are watching. For those who've already bought, it's value protected. For those still deciding, it's a sign that the neighborhood is taken seriously outside Porto Belo.
