GWM opens 120 kW charging hub at Vivapark, alongside BR-101
Four simultaneous charging points, one ultra-fast, for any electric or hybrid brand. Discounts via the My GWM app.
GWM Brasil, in partnership with concessionaire Dimas and WeCharge, opened a charging hub for electric cars at Vivapark Porto Belo, right on BR-101. Four charging points: one ultrafast DC charger at 120 kW with two connectors, and two AC chargers at 22 kW. Works with any brand of electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle.
The location is integrated with the My GWM app, which offers 10% to 50% discounts on charging. With this opening, the WeCharge partnership now reaches 15 charging points in Santa Catarina.
Why on BR-101
Because it's the highway that connects Florianópolis to Curitiba along the coast, and a 120 kW charger halfway there solves the trip for electric car owners. Vivapark sits right on the highway, with shops and restaurants where you can wait while charging. Marcelo Palla, head of new business at GWM Brasil, told Canal VE that "investing in charging infrastructure is one of the pillars to speed up electrification."
For people who live in the neighborhood
In addition to the GWM hub, We Charge charging stations were scheduled to open within the neighborhood in August, on the opening calendar. If you have an electric car and are comparing buildings, it's worth asking Pricila which ones already have charging points planned in the parking space; this varies from project to project.
